Anxiety is a state of mind accompanied with emotional responses characterized by feelings of apprehension, worry and unease. Symptoms of anxiety can vary from person to person, but usually involve feelings of nervousness, restlessness, uneasiness, and fear.
These feelings can often be accompanied by physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, sweating, trembling, and difficulty in breathing.
People with anxiety may also experience difficulty concentrating, irritability, and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.

Does hypnotherapy really work for anxiety?
Hypnotherapy for anxiety has been gaining traction in recent years as a viable treatment for those affected by this disorder. Hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses hypnosis, or a trance-like state of relaxation, to help people understand their thoughts and emotions better. This type of therapy is believed to be able to access subconscious thoughts and feelings, and through this access, help people to overcome their anxiety.
The use of hypnotherapy for anxiety has been studied extensively and the results have been promising. Studies have shown that it can be an effective treatment for anxiety disorders, including social anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Hypnotherapy for anxiety has been found to reduce the symptoms of anxiety, improve relaxation, and increase self-esteem. You can read more about Hypnotherapy Here.
How Hypnotherapy Works To Reduce Anxiety?
Hypnotherapy for anxiety is typically conducted by a qualified hypnotherapist. Read about me HERE. The therapist will use various techniques to induce a trance-like state in the patient, such as guided imagery, relaxation exercises, and positive affirmations. During the trance-like state, the therapist will work with the patient to help them gain insight into their anxiety and learn to cope with it.
The benefits of hypnotherapy for anxiety are numerous. It is non-invasive, relatively affordable, and can be done in the comfort of the patient’s own home. It should also be be tailored precisely to the individual’s needs, and there is no risk of side effects. Furthermore, hypnotherapy for anxiety has been found to be more effective than some forms of drug therapy and is often more effective and faster than other forms of talking therapy.
Overall, hypnotherapy for anxiety is a safe and effective treatment for those struggling with anxiety disorders. It is important to note, however, that it is not a one-size-fits-all solution and should be used in combination with other treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, to maximize its effectiveness. It is also important to consult with a fully qualified and registered hypnotherapist before beginning any form of hypnotherapy for anxiety.
Can I Be Free From Anxiety Forever?
As anxiety is a normal human response, feeling, reaction to certain situations, the answer is no, because we do not want to remove normal feelings. Remember these are there for a good reason, and are designed to actually help us. Just as we feel fear in order to make us take action in order to keep ourselves safe, if the feeling of fear was to be removed we would walk right into danger without due care and attention.
What we are really seeking is for anxiety to be reduced to an appropriate and healthy level, which is manageable, and serves to help us in our day to day life, rather than hinder us!.
For Example:
You have a busy day ahead of you, and anxiety alerts you that you simply do not have sufficient time to cram everything in that you had initially intended, causing you to rethink your schedule and maybe swap things around with other days, to give yourself more time to complete your tasks comfortably.

How Many Sessions of Hypnotherapy are Needed for Anxiety?
The process of hypnotherapy is a collaborative one, between the client and the therapist. As every individual and their needs are different, so too is the treatment they require for anxiety. My goal is always to help a client reach their solution state as quickly as possible. I never sign a client up for a course of sessions, as it is decided between the client and myself based on their individual journey and progression. Usually sessions are once a week, as this gives time for change to occur between sessions and this itself informs where we go from there.
